Bungalow on the Beach is a Neemrana group enterprise located 15 km north of Karikal (Union Territory of Pondicherry) at Tranquebar (Tamilnadu, India). Two restored buildings of the Bungalow will stand as reminders of two Danish admirals sent by King of Denmark. Tranquebar was a Fort established for the Danish for Pepper Exports and Today you can drive majestic King Stret past Lutherian Churches and Grand Bungalows of the of the Danish Governors and British Collectors. difference between the Bungalow on the beach and other two is the
architecture. While bungalow on the beach is a colonial
architecture, these are examples of indigenous Tamil architecture where red tiled roofs surround courtyards of domestic proportions. Tranquebar is an idyllic ex-Chennai Getaway. It is also covered alongwith Pondicherry and rest of Tamilnadu as a part of a south india itinerary. |
