The Bhanwar Vilas Palace, was built in 1968 by Maharaja Ganesh Pal Deo Bhadur, the then ruler of Karauli. It is a sprawling building with typical Art Deco features, a typical royal retreat. The spacious grounds are home to a variety of plants and animals. The stay offers a variety of Activities and guests here arrive to explore countryside that is not touristy and for a variety of festivals that are held in and around the area. Guests also have an option to explore Kaila Devi sanctuary.

One can sit on the top of the fort’s massive outer wall and look out over farmland, rugged scrub of the Daang plateau and the Lake.
