GUJ/02 - Desert, Craft and Beaches Itinerary of Kutchchh (4 nights - Ex-Bhuj)

Highlight - This is an Excellent short-break Itinerary for visiting Kutchchh covering Bhuj and Mandvi. Bhuj is access point for visiting Kutchchh. Kutchchh is visited for a peek into diverse craft and lifestyles exhibited by local communities. Kutchchh reservoirs, swamps and marshlands also form base for migratory birds making it a birding destination. Mandvi Beach is one of the finest stretch of beach in India and provides and idyllic setting for a break. 

• Day 1 and 2 : Arrive in Bhuj and proceed to Hodka or Garha Safari Lodge. There are a lot of activities that can be arranged such as Craft village visit, birding, Jeep Safari in desert based on your area of interest.

• Day 3 and 4: Transfer to Mandvi. Mandvi Beach is one of the finest stretch of beach in India and is very peaceful and secluded and thus attract guests for a relaxing holiday. Birding / Fishing trip can be organised from here.

• Day 5. Leave Mandvi to either Bhuj or Gandhidham (Kandla Airport) or Drive back to Ahmedabad (450 kms). If you are planning to drive down from Ahmedabad then Bhuj is at a distance of 420 kms (7 hours). Wankaner at 220 kms from Ahmedabad is a good stopover for this route.

Note : Above Itinerary can be modified to include specific interests such as Bird Watching and Pilgrimage.

Seasonality - Oct-March is the best season to arrive here.

Access - Bhuj gets direct flights from Mumbai. Kandla (70 kms) is another Airport near Bhuj which gets flights from Mumbai. Bhuj and Gandhidham gets direct trains from Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
