Pahalgam : Pahalgam (7,200 ft asl) is characterised by views of gurgling river criss cross across the town and snow peak views are all around to make a poster perfect destination. Places to visit are Shikergah, Dubian and Mamal Temple (dates back to 14th century) all which can be travelled on foot or pony. Popular places to visit comprise Chandanwari (16 kms) where one can find snow even in Summer. Day trekking around the area is also possible.

Typical Stay - 2 nights. Those interested in trekking and activities like fishing and rafting can stay upto a week in Summer. 

Seasonality - Area remains closed during Jan-Feb months when it snows heavily. April - October are best months to visit.

Access - Srinagar Gets direct flights from Mumbai, Jammu and Delhi. Pahalgam is 100 kms from Srinagar. If accessed by road, Pahalgam is 180 kms (6-7 hours) from Patnitop and 300 (10 hours) kms from Jammu.
