Heritage and Wildlife (Tigers) Route
: Hassan / Belur (2 nights) - Mysore (2 nights) -
Bandipur (2 night) Highlight
- This is a recommended
Itinerary for Inbound Guests, looking to combine best of Heritage and
Wildlife (Tigers). Itinerary can be done Ex-Mysore or Ex-Bangalore, both
being popular arrival points. Hassan
is the base point to visit Halebid / Belur hoysala
era architecture temples. Mysore is world renowned for its
Mysore Palace and from here guests can visit Somnathpur temple (50 kms), and
Srirangapattanam (20 kms). Bandipur is the best park in South India if idea is to
have a chance of sighting tigers. Suggested
Itinerary (This is an indicative itinerary, Sequence of the activities may
vary and depend on prevailing weather condition)

Day
1: Arrive at Bangalore and transfer to a resort at Hassan (200 kms) or Belur
(240 kms). Assumming indifferent arrival timings and a long flight, one can
just relax for the day.

Day 2
: Visit Halebid, Belur temples and
also visit Coffee Plantations of Chikmagalur.

Day 3:
Transfer to
Mysore (120 - 170 kms - 3-4 hours). Visit Mysore Palace in the
afternoon.

Day 4:
After Breakfast Visit Somnathpura Temple
(50 kms), Tipu's Palace (20 kms) and even visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary
in the evening, time permitting.

Day 5 and 6 :
After Breakfast Transfer to Bandipur. 2 night stay and 4

Day 7 : Leave for Bangalore (250 Kms) or onward destination after
breakfast and morning safari.

Heritage
Hill station (7500 ft asl) of Ooty is just 50-60 kms from Bandipur. Here guests can
enjoy a heritage hotel stay and a heritage train ride.

Rainforests
of Wayanad are just 150 kms from Bandipur and over here guests can enjoy
a tree house or enjoy an ayurveda / spa stay in a stay or a plantation /
rainforest resort.
Best
Season to Visit - Oct - May Access
: Bangalore is the best arrival point from flight or departure perspective.
From arrival by Train Mysore is good (Recommended for guests starting from
Chennai).as from where all destinations are less
than 3 hour distance.
