Mahabaleshwar has a renowned Shiva temple from which it derives its name. Mahabaleshwar - Panchgani today is famous for its Strawberry exports and are getaway resorts with activities.

For getaway seekers there is go-karting, paragliding, boating etc. There is Mafco strawberry farm where one can enjoy a bit of strawberry crush and other fun stuff.
