Nilgiris is home to over 320 species of birds, both migratory as well as sedentary.

flora and fauna typical of the South Western Ghats. There are over 2000
species plants of which about 400 species are of prime medicinal value. Over

opportunity for Birders. Birders can go bamboo rafting for the whole day deep

- Kumarakom Bird sactuary is a small piece of land on the Vembanad lake that attracts
a lot of birds. Ideal for relaxation and for birders. Waterscapes
as a part of the Bird Sanctuary is a the only recommended option for birders. Periyar
- About 200+ species of birds are found at Periyar. Due to the presence of large
water bodies Periyar National Park is birdwatcher's delight. While in Periyar
