UT/28 - 7 day Beginners Skiing Programme

The ski slopes in Auli, Uttarakhand, are considered to be some of the best for the amateur and professional alike. The slopes offer gentle gradients for those looking at learning this exciting sport and there are slopes with more features for the amateur and professional alike. 

The 7 days Beginner course is designed to give the ordinary layman a chance to experience the thrills of this sport in a safe environment. We have experienced instructors on board and world class skiing equipment to ensure that you have a memorable trip and go back asking for more!! During the program you would get to learn the basics of skiing and get to practise the skills you pick up on slopes of varying gradients. 

In addition to the great skiing, you would also have a warm and cozy place to come back to every night. Himalayan Eco Lodges has a beautiful lodge that is located in Auli with a spectacular view of the Alaknanda valley and the Joshimath town below. From here one gets a great view of the Himalayan peaks and there is thick birch forest all around to add to the beauty. The lodge has comfortable rooms with all amenities and there are lovely spaces for relaxation and to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

Schedule

• Day 1: Arrive in the lodge during the day. In the night, there will be a program orientation followed by dinner.

• Day 2-6: Your typical day would start with breakfast at 8:00 am after which a short drive (6 kms) will get you to the ski chairlifts. We will start with instructions by 9:30 am. Participants will ski till around 1:30 pm after which they will return to the lodge. Rest of the day will be at leisure. In the evenings there will be video sessions on skiing techniques. Also sitting around the fire and creating music in the evening or listening to it would be the order of the day. There are various indoor games and a mini library at the lodge for you to enjoy. Around the lodge there are nice walks and good birding opportunities for one to indulge in. Hot tea/coffee/soups along with variety of eating options will keep your taste buds satiated.

• Day 7: Post breakfast depart for Haridwar.

Night stay in our deluxe riverside camp In Jayalgarh (enroute from Haridwar to Auli)

Extend your trip with a night stay in our deluxe riverside camp on the banks of the River Alaknanda in Jayalgarh. This heavenly place is surrounded by thick greenery with the river flowing by. At the camp, you could also indulge in an exciting session of river rafting on the Alaknanda or a cycling experience through the lush Himalayan countryside which would be a fitting end to your skiing trip.
