Dirang stopover happened twice enroute to Tawang and when returning. Dirang has a lovely riverside character with valleys around (Sangti and Chug) developing as experiential traveller hubs. Dirang itself probably seems to be going the North India Hill station way (Traffic Jams, construction boom), however with bypass under construction, there is always the hope that travellers in future will be able to avoid that.
